Abstract:

Four species of Polynoidae, found in colonies of the bryozoan Schizoporella unicornis (Johnston), are described. Among these Scalisetosus gracilis is new for science, and Halosydna glabra Hartman and Harmothoe macginitiei Pettibone, are cited by the 1st time for Brazilian coast. Lepidonotus caeruleus was the most abundant species of the family. S. gracilis is characterized by the elytra with long and bifid papillae scattered on the surface as well as on external borders and distinct notosetae and neurosetae
