Abstract:

Taxonomic composition of the polychaetes associated with Schizoporella unicornis (Johnston, 1847) colonies from the beaches of Ubatuba and Sao Sebastiao (Brazil) is studied. Description and distribution of 14 spp. of the superfamily Eunicea are given. Among these Palola esbelta is a new species and for the first time, Eunice filamentosa Grube, 1856; E. tenuis (Treadwell, 1921); Marphysa angelensis Fauchald, 1970; Nematonereis hebes Treadwell, 1921; Lumbrineris albrifrons Crossland, 1924; and Oenone diphyllidia Schmarda, 1861 were cited on the Brazilian coast. The most abundant species was L. albifrons
